It examines in what way high sound levels can significantly influence the participation in music festivals. The paper concludes by saying that an intervention is needed, since it is assumed that the problem is likely to receive more attention in the future due to the healthier lifestyle of people and the cooperation of local authorities with public-private partnerships.
